Cheshire Academy was founded in 1794 and is a selective independent, coeducational boarding and day school. Located in Cheshire, Connecticut it is only two hours away from both Boston and New York City. Cheshire takes part in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program that offers a global perspective, challenging students to be independent, critical thinkers concerned and involved with the world around them. The Rizzolo-Larson Venture Grant is a $5,000 grant that allows Cheshire Academy students to carry out innovative projects to demonstrate "out of the box" classroom learning and is a great opportunity to participate in. For students interested in the Arts, Cheshire offers art classes for those who plan on attending art and design programs at the college level and is designed for students to develop an artistic passion in their chosen medium while providing personal studio space for artists to create their portfolios.
